Many monster mana-drain attacks show a blue-note effect when they hit.- The attack shape depends on the monster. It may be a direct hit, beam, cone, wave, or area.
- Mana drain resistance reduces the amount of mana removed.
The blue-note effect shows that a drain occurred; it is not always an advance warning.
