Fishing is a profession that uses a fishing rod on water. Cast once, wait for the hooked-fish effect, then use the rod on the same water tile before the fish escapes.

How to fish

Carry a fishing rod and worms.
Use the rod on water outside a protection zone.
Wait until the water shows the hooked-fish effect.
Use the rod on the same water tile again before the effect ends.

Rod	How it works	Progress
Fishing rod	Manual. Worms are required to land a catch.	Fishing skill and character experience
Mechanical fishing rod	Automatic while the character remains in place. Uses charges and does not require worms.	No Fishing skill or character experience

The catch pool depends on the ground beneath the character. Higher Fishing skill improves the chance to land a catch.
